The systematic development of capacities which is proposed in our general objetive is based in the action lines of the Strategic Plan for the Prevention of NRCD formulated by INCAP and approved by the Ministrys of Health of its eight members, which at the same time match with the Pan American Health Organization´s Regional Strategy for Chronic Diseases. Likewise, those action lines are relevant for Mexico, country that counts with a National Plan to face this type of diseases. The capacities strenghtening and research are mainly focused on the following areas:



The thematic areas to work on are the NRCD and its determinants, behavioral and intermediate factors, all of them related amongst them; as shown in the following diagram:
